APPOINTMENTS

Appointments to see your doctor can be made by calling at, or telephoning, the surgery where you are registered. Patients may telephone between 8.30am and 1.00pm, and 2.00pm and 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Consultation times are 08.30 - 12.30 and 15.00 - 17.30. Some appointment slots are also available outside of the core surgery opening hours, please telephone the surgery for further details. The surgery closes between 1.00pm and 2.00pm for administrative purposes and staff training.

Appointments may also be booked on-line here.

When making an appointment, please indicate the degree of urgency to the receptionist. An appointment is for one person only. If someone else in your family needs to be seen or discussed, more time will be needed and a separate appointment should be made.

Some of our nurses have had extended training and run Minor Illness Clinics, and in certain circumstances they are able to write prescriptions too. You may be invited to consult the nurse instead of a doctor if your case seems suitable.

If you arrive late you may be asked to re-book.

If you are unable to keep an appointment it is vital that you inform the surgery as soon as possible so that this may be made available to other patients. Un-cancelled missed appointments are routinely noted in your medical record.
